On Friday evening ahead of the BAFTAs we pulled our finest dresses out of storage, swapped our flats for heels, and headed over to the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel to join a host of beautiful celebs, editors and established designers for one of the hottest events on London's calendar - The WilliamVintage Dinner in association with Adler Joailliers.

At his annual pre-BAFTA dinner situated in the grand Hansom Hall, we joined man-of-the-moment William Banks-Blaney for an evening of glamorous frivolity, gossip and of course, celebrity spotting! Surrounded by stunning jewellery displays both behind the glass and on several high profile guests (including co-host Gillian Anderson who wore white gold and Columbian emerald earrings worth over £2 million!) we mingled with WilliamVintage admirers such as Dawn O'Porter and Chris O'Dowd, Jeremy Irvine, Brian Atwood, Holly Valance and Grace Woodward.

Some of our personal favourite looks of the night came from the Fifties - Lily Cooper (nee Allen) in particular looked stunning in a 1950's silk jacquard dress by Nina Ricci. Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright also turned heads in an important 1950's haute couture LBD by Lanvin, which she teamed with a pair of pointed Louboutins and pear shaped diamond earrings by Adler. We were thrilled to hear that William had been busy with red carpet fittings all week, and discovered yesterday that he had dressed an impressive number of women for the BAFTAs, including Helen McCroy, Emilia Fox and BAFTA nominee Joanna Johnston.

With more and more celebs and stylists searching for vintage pieces, WilliamVintage gowns are increasingly popular amongst the fashion forward, and, thanks to his impeccable taste, expert knowledge, and passion for sourcing the finest vintage haute couture, William is breathing new life into history's most magical gowns - oh, and he throws a pretty amazing party too! We guarantee you'll be seeing more of his unique treasures over the next few weeks...
