We kicked off London Fashion Week with a show that symbolises exactly what our capital is known for in the fashion world; new, exciting and emerging young talent, and it didn't disappoint. This season sees the London College of Fashion showcase its top ten MA collections on the first day of London Fashion Week at Covent Garden's Royal Opera House.

The designs on show were a mixed bag of both mens and womenswear featuring fresh and inspiring design techniques and signatures set to take the fashion crowd by storm. The really well attended show was set on a square catwalk with a full reflective surface, which was framed beautifully with the Opera House backdrop glass windows.

The six womenswear collections ranged in specialities from interesting forms with pleats, folds and unique structure to show stopping prints in eye catching tie dye and pastel photographic florals with sparkling embellishments (sounds wrong but it wasn't). My personal favourite had to be the below; an ultra-modern take on simple layered up combinations which saw cleverly structured separates worn in unexpected combinations with trousers under dresses and skirts.

With previous MA graduates including J.W. Anderson, Jimmy Choo, Jena.Theo, William Tempest and Charlotte Olympia, we predict that the future is looking bright for the group of newly established designers.
