Yesterday on day one of London Fashion Week, Jean-Pierre Braganza took us on a celestial journey into his take on Autumn / Winter 2013. Moving on from his foray into print from his collaboration with Zinaida Lihacheva last season, the collection on offer continued along Braganza's usual brand of powerful luxe feminine, but this time with a fresh new cosmic take.

The designer said, "I'm obsessed with the idea that numbers and geometry have symbolic and cosmic value, with the female form being the ultimate cosmic being", a notion that is clearly reflected throughout the collection. Starting with a series of monochrome pieces showcasing a geometric star constellation print across the fabric, shapes took form in JPB's true signatures; strong structured lines up top leading on to flowing feminine shapes at the bottom. Layering was a real feature throughout with dresses on top of slim fit trousers as well as what appeared to be long fishtail skirts poking out from underneath the hem of knee length dresses.

Moving on, the collection went in an oriental direction with kimono shapes, high collar necklines and feature tie belts, which was brought to life with the dark eye makeup, a slick centre parting and small bun at the back. Colour stayed to a strong and directional palette of black and white with small elements of peach and turquoise interjected here and there. Overall, the collection had a real element of wear-ability, alongside which, provoked a real want to wear reaction as well.
