Day two of London Fashion Week saw celebrity favourite, House of Holland, present their vision for Autumn / Winter 2013. Always one to bring in the big name a-lister front row, Henry Holland knows exactly what on-the-pulse young people in the spotlight want to wear and thinks about his customer as a gal-pal member of his super-cool hipster friendship group; think Alexa Chung, Nicola Roberts or Kelly Osborne.

Entitled Rave Nana, loveable Henry is taking us on a trip down memory lane with a flashback to time gone by with a tongue in cheek element. Think circa 1980's / 1990's, apparently an era self admitadly a little bit of a blur for the thirty year old designer who had a bit too much of a good time in his teens, acid house music and a casual approach to drug use. Throw in a bit of Nana style elements and you'll nail Henners' look without breaking a sweat.

Starting off with a series of swirling psychedelic prints in a mixture of colour palettes from muted red and white to weak forest green, shapes took a varied form on ladylike dresses and eighties style power suits. High-shine leather in navy were a real high point for me teamed with seventies-wallpaper type prints in satin textures.

An injection of colour came with peach and pop bright pinks for a garish feel clash. Teamed with orange fur lined khaki parkas, the look had a real eighties bad-taste feel but in a good way, we think. Some super-wearable elements appeared in the form of midi length skirts teamed with cool casual separates but maintaining that nana feel, that somehow totally works.
