BAFTA 2013 - Jennifer Garner & Jessica Chastain in Roland Mouret
Two beautiful stars opted to wear gowns by Roland Mouret for the 2013 BAFTA awards, with very different results. It's great to see international stars supporting London-based designers, and Mouret does brilliant red carpet dresses than combine old-school drama with modern structure.
First up is Jessica Chastain, who opted for a dramatic cobalt blue asymmetrical gown with structured peplum detail and column skirt with a small train. The colour is perfect against her pale skin and red hair, which she wore in the tried-and-tested red carpet style of retro waves swept around one shoulder. We loved Jessica's red SAG Awards McQueen dress, but this definitely tops it - the fit is better and the bold makeup and strong colour really stand out. Jessica's definitely in the running for best dressed of the night!
Next up is Jennifer Garner, who crossed the pond to support hubby Ben Affleck (nominated for 'Argo') in truly glamorous style in a greyscale Mouret gown with origami halter top, white waist sash and black fishtail skirt. Jennifer has a typical athletic figure with amazing toned shoulders and a long torso, and this dress highlights that toned physique. She looks beautiful, but perhaps not as incredible as she did in gold Oscar de la Renta at the SAG Awards?
