Amy Adams' Oscar de la Renta red carpet fairytale at the Oscars
The looks are flooding in thick and fast from the Academy Awards 2013 red carpet, and one that's caught our attention is Supporting Actress Nominee, Amy Adams and her fairy-tale inspired Oscar de la Renta red carpet wear.
Amy's award show red carpet signature usually involves more slick and body skimming shapes and as Gemma predicted, she tends to rich colours and semi-shiny fabrics like heavy satin or crepe. Not this time. Today, Amy has opted for a full on princess style dress with full skirt , multi-layered organza frills in an icy blue pastel shade by Oscar de la Renta.
We think it's great to see Amy step out of her comfort zone and although it's not quite the fuchsia Marchesa full skirted gown Gemma had wished for, it's almost there with a new dramatic skirt shape, uncharacteristic muted fabric and colour choice.
With her pure and pale skin tone, auburn toned hair scraped back in a natural up do and minimal co-ordinated accessories, we think Amy's is one of our favourite red carpet looks from the evening so far. And besides, what better to wear to the Oscars than Oscar de la Renta?
