SAG Awards trend: Green gowns
There were three very obvious trends at the SAG Awards this year. Black and white gowns were predictably popular, in part because of the huge catwalk looks that featured checkerboards, flowers and prints in monochrome this season, but also because black and white will always rule on the red carpet, regardless of fads and catwalk trends. We saw this on Claire Danes, Anne Hathaway and Julianne Moore.
Finally, there was green. This was the biggest colour trend of the night, and it encompassed all shades, from the softest seafoam on Ellie Kemper (in Reem Acra), through to plenty of emerald and forest (like Jessica Pare's Jason Wu and Gretchen Mol's Calvin Klein), and finally out into the blue / green spectrum which, for the sake of this gallery, includes Marian Cotillard's teal / peacock Dior Couture number, and the turquoise looks seen on Nancy O'Dell, Heather Morris and Viola Davis.
If you also pulled in Helen McRory's chartreuse frock (we didn't) you could line all these ladies up alongside those dressed in blue and create a complete colour chart of Carribbean sea shades.
