Right now all eyes are glued to Raf Simons's first advertising campaign for Christian Dior. The designer who unveiled his début collection for the house at Paris Fashion Week in September, has released his first ready-to-wear campaign for Spring/Summer 2013.

So far it has been described as minimalist and surrealist by several fashion blogs, and quite a departure from the bold drama when John Galliano was at the helm. Similar to his first collection, the campaign isn't exactly wowing fashion watchers but this more scaled back approach does go hand-in-hand with Dior's Spring 2013 collection.

Photographed by Willy Vanderperre, the ads feature models including Daria Strokous, Anna Martynova, Daiane Conterato and Marie Piovesan. One model who is missing is Karlie Kloss who has been a fixture amongst Dior's campaigns since Spring 2010.

While it is a new look for Dior, the ads do fail to really show off the collection's incredible clothing and accessories. Could this be to the house's detriment?
