Amanda Seyfried confessed to taking red carpet posing lessons from her Les Miserables co-star Anne Hathaway, and it seems to have paid off for her as she faced the photographers in her lace Givenchy Couture gown, which looks whisper-thin and beyond delicate. She was very excited to announce she got to keep it - though when would you wear somethign like this again?

Pulling off white or cream lace without looking like a bride is a tall order, but the clever panelling in the front of the gown and the metal bar that joins it at the neck ensure it doesn't look too much like a wedding dress. The criss-cross of ruched lace ends at the waist in a gathered panel that drops to the ground, giving the dress a soft kick at the hem (but not the dramatic fishtail of other lace dresses we've seen so far at the Globes).

Amanda chose to wear her hair down with the dress, which perhaps hides some of the detailing, but let's face it - if you had her hair, wouldn't you want to show it off?
