It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

On the streets of London the festive season is in full swing! On Monday night guests attended Stella McCartney's annual switching on of her Christmas lights at her Mayfair store. This year the designer inviting comedians Paul Whitehouse and Vic Reeves to help her turn on the lights, as well as to serenade the crowd.

Other celebs that got into the festive spirit were Nick Grimshaw, Jamie and Louise Redknapp, Twiggy, interior designer Kelly Hoppen, and artist Sir Pete Blake. They munched on mince pies, Christmas cookies, roasted chestnuts and drank mulled wine.

Looking ever-so English, Stella wore a brown tweed skirt suit, opaque tights, a metallic clutch and a pair of Molly faux-leather ankle boots. The week has been capped off for McCartney after she was named the most searched brand on the internet for 2012. Coming in second was Karl Lagerfeld, then Victoria's Secret and Alice Temperley in fourth place.

In other Christmassy news, Burberry has been busy hitting the roads with its festive-covered van. Laden with gifts, the van will circulate London which you can follow via the company's Twitter and Instagram accounts.

On Thursday, Burberry will host a variety of events across its stores with champagne and canapés to be served at its Regent Street, Bond Street, Knightsbridge, Covent Garden and Westfield stores from 6pm. Finally, the brand has opened a pop-up shop inside Harrods especially for Christmas. Four windows along Brompton Road have been taken up with Burberry and customers can buy items directly from the window. It gives a whole new meaning to the term 'window shopping.'
