Kristen Stewart's risky Erdem wear at New York On the Road premiere
It's not often that Kristen Stewart makes a mistake on the red carpet. There is no denying that the controversial star happily takes regular risks with her premiere fashion selections (remember her headline-making Zuhair Murad wear for the finale of The Twilight Saga?), but they normally pay off. This time we're not so sure.
Kristen was out in New York City promoting yet another leg of what seems like the longest tour promoting her On the Road film, wearing a custom made Erdem dress from their Spring 2013 collection. What do you make of her look above? The outfit looks very different on the catwalk than it does on the red carpet, consisting of silver satin bralet, matching high waisted shorts and fluro floral sheer over-layer.
The once midi pencil length has been shortened to a thigh skimming length for Kristen, which we suspect might be at the route of the problem here. There's something about the super short length and see through-ness of the look that is just too much for the red carpet which takes the look from cool, modern and clean to over the top and tacky.
