Jourdan Dunn hosts new cooking show on Jay-Z's website
Proving that she is more than just a pretty face is Jourdan Dunn, who has unveiled the first episode of her online cooking show, Well Dunn. The British model whipped up Jamaican-style dishes including jerk pork, rice, beans and Caribbean salsa for Jay-Z's website, Life + Times.
Along with tips on how she prepares these meals, the 22-year-old's début webisode also included anecdotes about her life and work such as being photographed for Vogue Italia's 2008 "Black is Beautiful" issue.
"I was just super duper nervous, but working with [Steven Meisel] totally put me at ease," she says. "And then I was finished and he came up and said 'Thank you, you're done' and I was like 'Really, I'm done?' And then I saw Iman walk in and I was like, 'Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, I'm just going to stay and watch all the supermodels come by.'"
She also reveals that the way to a man's heart is through good food. "I haven't got a man to cook for, so my man is my son, who is very very demanding. He'll be like, 'Mummy, I'm hungry!' And if he doesn't like it, he'll spit it out."
Could a career in cooking be Jourdan's real calling? Perhaps she will follow in the footsteps of model-turned-TV-chef Sophie Dahl. Check out Dunn's culinary skills in the clip below.
