vogue january 2013 issue gwen stefani

It has been a little while since we have seen Gwen Stefani in front of the camera. Now she is fronting the January 2013 issue of US Vogue magazine. It is perfect timing for the 43-year-old who recently announced a new No Doubt clothing collaboration with Fred Perry, and has a new album out.

Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, Gwen sports a glitzy ensemble from Hedi Slimane's Spring 2013 collection for Saint Laurent. Sitting on top of a piano she dons a gold sequinned blazer, white blouse with ruffled sleeves, black bow tie, black trousers and wide-brimmed hat. Inside the issue she talks about what life was like to tour while pregnant.

"I did my first solo record and went on tour while I was pregnant. I would want to throw up during certain songs. Certain outfits would make me sick. It was torture. I toured until I was four and a half months pregnant, showing. I came home and had Kingston, and when he was eight months old, I went back on the road. I nursed him for fourteen months, so I would literally do my hair and makeup, go back to the bus, nurse him, put him down, and walk out onstage. And I did that for 100 shows."

Talk about being a supermum! The January 2013 issue of US Vogue will hit newsstands on Christmas Day.
