This freezing cold Wednesday evening in London town saw the highly anticipated premiere of Les Misérables. Equally well anticipated (by us anway) were Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried, who stepped onto the red carpet in their fashionable best. All we can say / think / feel is brrr!

Good on the girls for not donning coats and scarves. I suppose when faced with a red carpet situation you don't have much choice, but despite adverse conditions, we'd say both leading ladies pulled out all the stops for the momentous film's UK debut.

A cropped haired Anne oped for a white satin gown from Givenchy's Spring 2012 Couture collection which featured halter neckline, draped batwing sleeves with cut out shoulders and entirely backless shape. The fabric was beaded which lead to a vintage feel and pared down with minimal accessories, we think Anne showed it off to it's full potential. Amanda went down a different, yet complementary route selecting a look from Balenciaga's Spring 2013 collection. The fitted cocktail-type dress had a structured neckline, nipped in waist and contrast underside exaggerated frill. What do you make of Anne's and Amanda's looks?

In the few hours since the girls walked the red carpet, the critics have been harsh, but what are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
