Alice Temperley opens London flagship store
Alice Temperley's career seems to be moving in leaps and bounds at the moment (perhaps thanks to a certain Duchess). Following on the back of her successful Somerset by Temperley collection for John Lewis comes the opening of her very first flagship store in London.
Located on Bruton Street in Mayfair, in the former location of Juicy Couture, the new space is 2,500 square feet and covers more than one floor. On the ground and first floor are the retail space, while the upper levels house commercial, e-commerce and press offices. The store sells the company's mainline as well as Alice by Temperley, bridal collection and her range for Barbour.
There is a real vintage sense to the store which features a tonne of antiques including mirrors and chandeliers. Her first store in Notting Hill will continue to trade but will be the main focus for Temperley's eveningwear and bridal collections.
"I wanted the store to have a gentle, welcoming feel," Temperley told WWD. "And I want the space to have a heritage feel, but also grow and evolve."
