After expanding their online business to the UK last year, now J.Crew is set to open its first London store. WWD reports that the American retailer will open its first store outside of North America on the corner of Regent Street and New Burlington Street in Mayfair (pictured above).

The company began scouting locations for their first-ever London store back in June. The 17,000-square-foot store is in the process of being developed for the brand. It will open its doors late next year. An official statement is believed to be released shortly.

"London was an easy decision - it's a place where people understand and respect the integrity of great style and great design," said Millard "Mickey" Drexler, chairman and chief executive of J.Crew Group, Inc.

"We share this appreciation and are excited to introduce J.Crew to more customers throughout the U.K.," he added.

The site will become the home to two separate women's and men's stores which will include their own entrances. The women's store will offer an edited selection of products in an area which will house the "most special fabrics and prints, Italian cashmere, and a dedicated shoe and handbag salon."

Further J.Crew stores across London could be in the works for the future. In the meantime you can shop for clothing and other J.Crew merchandise internationally via Jcrew.com and through Net-a-Porter.
