Around this time of year, it kind of feels a little bit like the retailers are pulling the rug from beneath us. Just as we're getting our heads around the new Autumn / Winter 2012 season, they berate us with a sequence of mid-season sales making us question our oh so firm grasp upon the new season trends and wish list wants. Am I the only one who feels like this? There's no other culprit more rife at this right now than Topshop, who have just launched their first set of reductions.

Even in such adversity, we won't let those bargains pass us by. In the face of the furiously fast pace of fashion, we must embrace the mid-season sales as they hit, even if we do feel a little hurried along on our way. Best thing is, those usually " wouldn't be seen dead in any more" rails are now filled with "why is this in the sale already?" pieces.
