Drew Barrymore & Charlotte Gainsbourg team up with Tommy Hilfiger for charity campaign
Actresses Drew Barrymore and Charlotte Gainsbourg have teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger for a special campaign to benefit Breast Health International.
Tommy has created a limited edition handbag, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Fund for Living, a global BHI initiative that provides assistance to women with breast cancer and their families by covering costs that may not be covered by traditional health insurance programs.
Charlotte, the current BHI ambassador, models the bag in a photoshoot and video directed by (a heavily pregnant) Drew. How much would we have loved to have been a fly on the way during that shoot!
"It‟s an honor to partner with Tommy Hilfiger and Charlotte Gainsbourg to raise awareness for the wonderful work Breast Health International does," said Drew.
In a month full of Breast Cancer Awareness products this is an interesting one, not only because it's not pink, but because a really good percentage of the profits will go to the charity, rather than a token couple of pounds. Just over 30% of the retail price is donated for each bag sold, and this is the sixth time Tommy Hilfiger has teamed up with BHI, so obviously the partnership is working very well in terms of awareness and fundraising.
The bag itself is a roomy tote in Tommy's signature preppy navy blue, red and white with a touch of rose goldtone.
The BHI bag is available worldwide at Tommy Hilfiger stores and can also be bought online by clicking here. It costs £255 with £80 going directly to the Fund for Living.
