Day 2 of London Fashion Week ended on a high today, with highly anticipated local label, Issa London, showcasing their upcoming Spring / Summer 2013 offering. With avid interest from a certain Kate Middleton obvious (she wore one of their designs for her world circulated engagement photographs), no thoughts lingered on her attendance to the show this evening, but was it a sneak peek into The Duchess of Cambridge's wardrobe to come? We took our seat at London Fashion Week this evening, to find out.

With the help of crowd pleasing models, Cara Delavigne and Jourdan Dunn, Issa's SS13 saw an uncharacteristically themed offering; the London brand presented their usual array of luxe jersey dresses, but this season saw a bold, bright feel threading through the collection; think maxi lengths, tropical prints and vibrant colours.

The show opened with a vast palette of colours, showcasing Issa's collection of maxi length printed dresses; think popping bright colours decorated with luxurious tropical floral prints. We welcomed an insight into the British label's more playful side, as floral prints led the way for rainforest green shades and toucan prints. Alongside the jewel-tones hues, SS13 paves the way for bright white high volume maxis, showing splashes of colour with oversized floral detail through the skirt.

The classic British style we always anticipate from Issa was ever present; elegant lines appeared in the form of not only high volume flowing maxi cuts, but also draped kimonos, as well as the classic fitted jersey dress, finished with a modern dropped waist shape.

Make-up was largely subtle, with a focus on bright, feminine glossy lips; think reds, pinks and purple. Hair styling stole the show, with glossy, high volume chignon styling, complete with brightly coloured orchid detailing.

Brazilian designer, Daniella Helayel, behind the London label says, "The Spring / Summer 2013 prints are inspired by the Garden of Eden, Noah's Ark, vibrant underwater corals, passion and seduction. We started with our main theme and created mood and print boards of flowers, exotic plants, the sea, skies and corals".
