As usual one of the last shows at London Fashion Week was ASHISH, who normally helps us end the 5 days jam packed full of fashion on a high, with his usual brand of all sequined fun and directional take. Following his New Age collection for Autumn / Winter 2012, could the designer do it again?

Yes, is the answer. The ASHISH customer knows and loves the brand for what it offers; a fun, ironic and highly decorative take on fashion, and the Spring / Summer 2013 collection delivered just that. This season, gone is the multi-colour tie dye and hello to cornflower blue denims teamed with endless monochromes; think blacks, whites, silvers and greys. The usual slogans were very much present in his usual typography emblazoned across light Spring knits and oversized tees as well as scattered numbers.

Contrast leg dungarees were a real focus alongside fully sequined slip dresses in silver.
The entire collection had a rebellious school girl type aesthetic about it which was accentuated by the old Kappa style trainers, messy top knot hair, pearlescent pink lips and Giles Deacon style geek glasses. It was geek girl, meets cool girl, meets slutty girl, with an altogether fun and want to get a slice of that aesthetic. Check it out in the vid above.
