We're used to fashion and technology tie-ins, and let's face it, most of them are pretty awful. Making something pink and shoving a logo on it doesn't make it any more appealing to the fash pack, and it's been a long time since the likes of the Armani phone.

But we have to admit when we saw this crazy washing machine - the result of a collaboration between LG and Giles Deacon - we had to smile. It might not suit every kitchen or laundry room, but it's definitely got a fashion week feel! LG is always busy at London Fashion Week making sure clothes are wrinkle-free (we often bump into the 'Steam Team' backstage) and they've worked with Giles before on other tech projects. This new creation has a fun fashion link (what? Clothes need to be cleaned...) with a big dose of Giles' stylish sense of humour.

Deacon said of the partnership, "LG continues to produce innovative and exciting products for the home and the washing machine is designed to complement that. GILES is a label that creates trends using design that is conversational, with lots of colour and bold statement prints. Working with LG has given me a chance to transfer my designs into the home, working with the best in technology."

The LG Giles Deacon washing machine is exclusive to John Lewis and retails at £1,199. At time of writing there are a couple left in stock online, and you can also try John Lewis Oxford Street, John Lewis Bluewater and Peter Jones to see it in the flesh.
