Acne is one of those brands you always look to as a source of inspiration for cutting edge creativity and new-ness, so as one of the many shows on London Fashion Week, we were eager to see what was on offer from the Swedish designer label.

Last season saw a tailored, sharp and well put together look on the Autumn / Winter 2012 catwalk, so it comes as no surprise that the new thinking label would turn everything on its head for a completely contrasting look this Spring / Summer 2013. In place of the slick separates and structure from last season, the catwalk played host to layered up, draped and flowing creations.

A real attention grabbing set, the Spring / Summer 2013 collection was the definition of a mixed bag with no set style or theme continuing through all of the looks. From layered up oversized shapes in contrasting fabrics which had that, doesn't really go together type look, whilst textures span leather, buckles and cut outs. The usual to die for asymmetric draped shapes graced jackets, as well as high volume sleeves and long line waistcoats.

As a personal super fan of the brand, I have to admit I found it difficult to get on board with their confusing aesthetic this season, especially when the glossy cowboy hats showed an appearance(?). Decide for yourself by watching the video above.
