Let's just take a moment and bask in how gorgeous Anne Hathaway looks in this photograph. Doesn't she look stunning? Obviously it helps that she's wearing a breath taking couture designer dress, but with its high neckline and billowing sleeves, not everyone could make this look work for them the way Anne does.

The Dark Knight Rises star was among 800 star-studded guests who attended the New York City Ballet Fall Gala last night at the David H. Koch Theatre, including Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, and man of the evening, Valentino, who was honoured for his contribution to the ballets costume designs.

Anne walked the red carpet in a floor sweeping Valentino couture gown, detailing an autumnal palette of delicate flowers, intricate embroidery and glittering thread. The sheer fabric of the gown left little to the imagination, but with a few well-placed floral embellishments, the actress ensured that her modesty was left intact. Thankfully Anne opted to keep the accessories light and the makeup simple, carrying a metallic gold box clutch and wearing a coral lipstick that matched the tone of the dress perfectly.

Just as we were busy cooing over Anne's choice of outfit, the iconic designer Valentino threw us another exciting piece of news - the Les Miserables star will be wearing one of his creations for her wedding! The 80-year-old let slip that he has already designed the dress for Anne's upcoming nuptials, telling E! News that he "did the dress" because "she's a very good friend of mine. Oh, yes. She's like my daughter!"

Valentino continued to speak highly of the bride-to-be, gushing, "She's sensational. She's fantastic. She's a girl that...she deserves what she has in this life. [That] means, she's already a great star. But she's going to be a great, great, great, great thousand times great star. She has all the qualities. And wait until you hear her voice, she's amazing." Awww, bless him.
