Street Style: Opera fans at Glyndebourne
Leaving behind the East London fashionistas and boho festival fans for once, we're taking our street style in a slightly different direction this week, and bringing you a touch of class from the well-dressed opera fans who recently attended a Ravel double-bill at Glyndebourne.
Former Catwalk Queen editor and friend-of-the-site Isabelle O'Carroll took these pics of the young attendees of the glamorous outdoor opera event. She's got some amazing photos of some of the brilliantly dressed older attendees, but we're really happy she chose to share the younger generation with us.
Dressing for events like this when you're in your twenties can be tough - it's so easy to go a bit too K-Middy with beige shoes and wedding-esque florals, or too many matching pieces (your shoes, clutch and dress don't all have to be the same print). We think Isabelle did a great job in scouting out those who managed to stick to the formal dress code without looking older than their years. We love the lazy maxi dresses, pretty polka dots and gorgeous retro-inspired looks on the ladies. And look out for some sexy boys in kilts, too!
