Fresh from his outstanding gold medal performance (he's racked up 22 during his career) at the London Olympics are the images from Michael Phelps' new campaign for Louis Vuitton. The swimming champion makes his modelling debut in LV's 'Core Values' ads which were photographed by Annie Leibovitz. For this campaign, Phelps follows in the footsteps of a string of celebrities which most recently included Muhammad Ali. [Telegraph]

Michelangelo had the statue of David, now H&M have their own. The retailer is ramping up its promotion of their David Beckham partnership by unveiling nine 10-foot statues of the football star in his briefs. Starting tomorrow until Sunday, the statues will be displayed in various spots throughout New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. There are prizes are up for grabs for those who upload pics of the statues via Instagram. As if projecting Beckham's underwear ads onto the White Cliffs of Dover wasn't enough! [WWD]

E.L. James, the now filthy rich author of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, has just inked a women's fashion deal. According to reports, James has negotiated three licensing deals to distribute Fifty Shades-themed clothing, underwear, tights, pyjamas, daywear, and loungewear. Look out mass market domination! Following her quickie nuptials, Agyness Deyn has given an interview to talk about anything but her marriage. Speaking of the first time she met Dame Vivienne Westwood, she admitted: "I loved Vivienne. I remember that was one of the first shows I ever did. She's from up north, right where I'm from. I just remember telling her, 'I'm from where you're from!' while she was in the middle of styling someone during the show, and she was like, 'Oh, OK.'" [Fashionologie]
