High street mini-trend: China prints
There are certain trends that never become fully-fledged fashion fads, but bubble up under the surface, making themselves known through just a few key pieces. China print (the pottery, not the country) is one of those looks this season.
There's no real surprise that this isn't a huge trend we've seen all over the high street - there are plenty of us who don't want to look like walking crockery. But if you have a penchant for feminine looks and the guts to pull of a potentially tricky print, there are plenty of options out there.
We love Stylist Pick's not-quite-matching set of tie shirt and scalloped shorts for a Summery take on the shorts suit, while a slightly softer and more ethereal vest top at ASOS allows you to try the print without going too bold.
Top of the list, though, is the must-have cold-shoulder dress from Topshop. At least one of our team already owns this and given that it comes in two other colours (pink and green) we don't think it'll be long before another Catwalk Queen invests.
