Chloe Sevigny does short film for Opening Ceremony
Fans of Chloe Sevigny's gritty yet girly style will love this video shot by William Strobeck, who is famous in the skateboard video genre. The pairing produces an appropriately arty, eerie video with an off-the-cuff vibe. It is basically the garage rock version of a fashion short film.
"The girl can wear whatever she wants, I've seen her in all types of gear, leather straps, and ripped shirts," Strobeck told Dazed Digital. "She can always pull it off. I like when she slicks her hair back, it makes her look tough."
In the short, Sevigny shows off that slicked hair and some of her favorite pieces from her collections for Opening Ceremony. The actress started collaboration with the New York and L.A. boutique in 2009. They've received mixed reviews over the years, but have remained popular and sort of culty with her core fans. These are some of the greatest hits from the range, and will all be available online and at the Opening Ceremony London pop-up store.
Currently residing in Covent Garden, there are plans for the boutique to open a permanent location in London this fall. The pop up offered Olympics-themed apparel by designers like Norma Kamali, Band of Outsiders, House of Holland, Delfina Delettrez, Pamela Love, and Proenza Schouler earlier this summer.
