Dragon's Den star Theo Paphitis' lingerie label Boux Avenue this week revealed the new face of the 'Embrace Your Curves' range, Aussie model Robyn Lawley.
With the measurements 36-32-42 and D-cup breasts, Lawley isn't your average lingerie model. The 6'2" Amazon is technically a plus size model (she wears an Australian size 16 - Aussie sizing is similar to UK) but you'll probably agree from these photos that she's not exactly representative of the average size 16! Lawley was originally a 'straight size' model, before putting on weight to tackle the growing plus size market. Since then, her career has skyrocketed.
As Boux Avenue takes pride in the fact it offers a wider range of sizes than some rivals (with bras up to an H cup) it's no surprise they've chosen to go with a model who's able to fill out those designs. Interestingly though, many of the briefs only go up to a size 18 or 20, and some band sizes stop at a 38. Is this another case of using a plus size model to get publicity, but not actually catering to plus sizes with the actual range?
