It is the apparel answer to "business in the front, party in the back" except... reversed. More and more designers are coming out with skirts and dresses with a "high-low hem" or, in layman's terms, mullet skirts. And it's no surprise high street followed in their footsteps. ASOS sells this one-shoulder dress with high low hem for £42.00.

I recently tried on a much tamer version of a high-low hem dress and the look just doesn't work for me, or I'd have to be very careful with proportions. Like many fashions, I don't think it favors the short. But this dress seems to have the ideal combination - an above-the-knee front hem and ankle-length hem in the back. It's actually quite flattering on the model. The sequin-embellished, one-shouldered top has a body con silhouette and scoop neckline that's a bit sporty. The lightweight, semi-sheer chiffon wraparound skirt with "an extreme dip" and fluted hemline has a cape-like effect that gives the whole dress a superhero vibe. It is also available in white.

What do you think of the short-in-front, long-in-back look? Is it appropriate for the office or everyday wear or do you see it as more of a special occasion item? Let us know in the poll below.
