Is there anything more luxe than the collaboration of Jean Paul Gaultier and La Perla? I don't think so. During a swank soiree at the lingerie brand's boutique on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, models mingled with guests while wearing the third collection the designer has done for the brand.

With the golden caged corset shown at his couture presentation just days before, and Madonna currently wearing a nude and black leather bra from the previous Collection Createur on tour, can the designer top his recent lingerie projects? You decide.

The 30 styles, including swimwear in styles like a bustier and tattoo-print suit, will retail at around £400 for a bra and panties and up to £1,200 for a dress (that you probably couldn't wear out of the house).

La Perla boutiques will begin selling the collection in November.

"We felt that Jean Paul Gaultier was very relevant with our consumers," La Perla chief executive officer Tim Brasher told WWD. "Jean Paul Gaultier is a name known around the world, so it is helpful. The collection does well in Europe, the U.S., Asia."
