As a nice contrast to Haute Couture Fashion Week, today we stumbled across some pictures of what's to come from one of our favourite fast fashion haunts - Primark - for Autumn / Winter 2013. Lookbook photos and product shots of some of the first new season drops can be viewed by clicking the image above.

Lots of big trends look to carry on through to the next season for Primark shops. Look out for Isabel Marant-inspired concealed wedge trainers, neon accessories, boucle jackets and scuba fabrics (like sporty shapewear). Pencil skirts and slim, slightly cropped trousers are two key shapes that carry through from Spring / Summer.

From the lookbook, it looks like Primark are muting their usual rainbow palette for the new season. Look out for alpine knits in burgundy and cream, plus lots of houndstooth check, a la Lady Gaga.

We're also intrigued by the couture-esque detailing on a black skirt (see pic 3) and a plethora of very cool ladies' shirts with studs, stand-up collars, sheer panels, chain prints and much more.

Most piece will hit in late August, but keep an eye on the window of your nearest store for your favourite pieces. Primark will also open a second central London store on Oxford Street in September, occupying the old Virgin Megastore / Zavvi building near Tottenham Court Road station.
