Miranda Kerr gets her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney
Karl Lagerfeld recently got waxed in Germany, Kate Middleton got waxed in London, and now Miranda Kerr has been waxed in Sydney. It has been revealed that the Australian supermodel has been made into a wax figure for Madame Tussauds Sydney.
"We are thrilled that Miranda is joining our star-studded attraction. It goes without saying that she will be a massive hit at Madame Tussauds Sydney for both locals and international visitors alike. Given this is the first time a wax figure of Miranda has been made, you can imagine how curious everyone is to see how her beauty has been translated into wax. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed, it is spot on and the detail is just flawless" said Hywel Mathias, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Sydney.
And it seems being immortalised in wax is nothing short of a major project. Miranda had over 500 measurements and photographs taken of her with the wax figure taking over four months to complete. Her replica has been dressed in a floor-length red evening gown by Aussie designer Alex Perry.
"Miranda is such a loving icon to work with; she radiates beauty inside and out. It's such an honour that she has chosen her wax figure to wear the scarlet red gown I designed for her," said Perry.
The mum of baby Flynn Bloom isn't the only model to be turned into a wax figure, both Kate Moss and Tyra Banks have their own waxworks sculptures.
