Never fear Victoria's Secret fans - the London store opening is happening! Miranda Kerr has confirmed that the UK's first Victoria's Secret store will open on July 24 at Westfield Stratford in time for the Olympic Games. The brand's New Bond Street flagship store will also open "a couple of weeks later - the exact date is still a secret".

The Victoria's Secret Angel says she hopes very much to be able to attend the London opening, but it all comes down to scheduling.

"I'd love to be in London for the opening - we passed through on the way to France for the wedding of Orlando's cousin last week, so I hope to make it back," she said. "But these days it's complicated to work the schedules: mine, Orlando's and the baby's - and then of course all the other Angels. The only time the girls are all definitely together is the Victoria's Secret show which is booked so far in advance, but it's hard to say which of us will definitely be in London for the launch just yet."

Our hearts sank a little last week when we heard the news that the US lingerie giant had postponed the opening of its stores. Originally the New Bond Street store was meant to open on July 25, with the Westfeld Stratford store slated to open one day later. Now it appears the Westfield store will open first. I wonder then if the company is still planning a big soiree for the event as it was reported back in May. At the time it was rumoured that the Angels might arrive into London in their fancy custom pink VS plane. Too cool!
