The Middletons and Beckhams cheer on Andy Murray at Wimbledon
It was a sad day for Britain when Andy Murray was defeated by Roger Federer in a nail-biting men's singles final at Wimbledon yesterday. Despite all the tears at the end of the match, a quick look around Wimbledon's Centre Court only proved it was the hottest ticket in town. Seated amongst the crowd were David and Victoria Beckham, who both looked stone-faced as they watched Murray's agonising loss.
Wearing one of her own designs, Victoria attended the tennis final in a fitted bottle green dresses featuring black horizontal stripes, a V-neck and three-quarter sleeves. She teamed her frock with a pair of Tom Ford knee-length black boots, a crocodile skin handbag, and her trademark oversized glam sunglasses. David, meanwhile, opted for a charcoal grey suit, white shirt and striped tie.
Also watching the match were Kate and Pippa Middleton who sat next to each other in the Royal Box throughout the gruelling final. The Duchess of Cambridge reprised the cream Joseph sleeveless dress which she first wore during her visit of Canada last year. For Wimbledon she added a matching cream jacket, also by Joseph, and a favourite Diane von Furstenberg snakeskin clutch. Pippa chose a blue printed peplum dress from Danii Minogue's fashion line, Project D. If you think it looks familiar, it's because it is the same dress worn by Princess Mary of Denmark at the christening of Princess Athena of Denmark in May.
Other famous faces in the crowd included Anna Wintour, Doctor Who actor Matt Smith, Rupert Murdoch, Sir Cliff Richard, and Ronnie Wood. It is a shame Murray couldn't make British history.
