Katy Perry hits her London Premiere in Marchesa
She loves "beans on toast, the monarchy and the countryside" and thinks that Prince Harry is "a hot ginger". Can you imagine if Katy Perry became the other Kate Middleton?!
The Californian pop princess was in full performance mode as she worked the red carpet at the London premiere of her documentary movie, Katy Perry: Part Of Me in Leicester Square last night. 27-year-old Katy looked on top of the world as she posed and chatted with her adoring fans for well over an hour, flying the flag for her beloved Britain with a Union Jack umbrella, ring, and even some Union Jack Swarovski lashes!
Aside from her Anglophile accessories, Katy wore a gorgeous ballerina style dress from Marchesa's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, which unfortunately faired better on the catwalk than on Miss Perry. The tutu-embellished dress wasn't particularly flattering from the side view thanks to its graduated fall at the back, which made Katy look an odd shape indeed. Fortunately the intricate gold detailing, her perfectly smooth hair, and flawless skin helped out a little (plus the sparkling diamante and suede Jimmy Choos over ruled any negativity). Despite Katy telling Grazia that she felt she was "busting out of it", and that she had "eaten too many Wotsits", the star was all smiles and managed to make the best of her outfit.
It looks as though the singer and her stylist got a little scissor happy before the premiere, as Katy's dress is slightly different to the runway version. Personally, I preferred the extra tulle detailing on the bust that was present on the catwalk, but perhaps it was a little too high for Miss Perry's tastes? Speaking of which, Katy allegedly revealed that the reason she changes her hair colour so often is because she hates her natural hair tone, referring to it as "a squirrel colour".
You've gotta love her.
