Well it's certainly been a busy old week for Katie Holmes. First she files for divorce from her husband Tom Cruise, then she rents an apartment in New York, fires her management, hires her old PR, steps out in heels sans wedding ring, and NOW it seems the actress is putting all of her focus into her fashion line!

It's been reported that 33-year-old Katie, who started the label Holmes & Yang back in 2009 with stylist Jeanne Yang, will be putting on a presentation for the first time at prestigious fashion event, New York Fashion Week this September. Although a presentation venue has yet to decided, it has been confirmed that Holmes & Yang will be debuting its Spring collection - I wonder if old friend and front row BFF Victoria Beckham will have any words of advice for Katie now that she's eclipsed her?

Inspired by icons such as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, the brand focuses on classic-with-a-twist pieces and luxury basics, which could become staple pieces for celebrities and high powered fashionista's alike if Katie plays her cards right. Perhaps she'll start rocking a few more of her designs on the red carpet again like she did for the Tropic Thunder premiere (pictured above).

WWD reports that the Dawson's Creek star and her design partner, "foresee a bright future together", as they take the first steps towards a possible future catwalk show. It's certainly got us excited, especially as Katie told Vogue last summer that she'd love to dress our very own Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton one day! Stranger things have happened...
