Giorgio Armani dresses Batman a.k.a. Christian Bale
The early reviews for the latest Batman flick so far are overwhelming positive. Film critics have been raving about The Dark Knight Rises, the final instalment in director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, which stars Christian Bale. Playing Bruce Wayne, the British actor is looking as stylish as ever in the movie thanks to Giorgio Armani.
Armani has joined forces again with costume designer Lindy Hemming to keep Bale a.k.a. Batman looking sophisticated and suave. The Italian designer previously worked on the 2008 film, The Dark Knight, which also starred the late Heath Ledger. According to WWD, Armani has dressed Bale in a "two-button notch-collar suits in charcoal pinstripe or grey glen plaid, with the customised label: 'Giorgio Armani for Bruce Wayne.'"
As well as Bale, Armani has also outfitted Bale's co-stars Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. In addition, he provided accessories for Anne Hathaway, who plays Selina Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman. Check out her feisty feline look here.
"In the lexicon of superheroes, it's an honour to be associated with such an intriguing character as Bruce Wayne," Armani said. "We had established Wayne's elegant tailored look in contrast to his iconic Batman persona," said Hemming. "Giorgio Armani's luxury suiting continues to offer the perfect visual look for him."
The Dark Knight Rises opens in UK theatres on July 20.
