First official look at Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book
Today is the day that Carine Roitfeld reveals the first full fashion image from her forthcoming magazine, CR Fashion Book, online. The former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief will unveil the image which stars model Juliet Ingleby strolling along in nothing but a piece of bright purple sheer fabric billowing in the wind. Also donning a pair of red stiletto heels and bag, she is captured walking through a cemetery followed by three other models dressed in black veils, and long leather coats and boots.
The photograph was taken by Sebastian Faena and styled by Roitfeld. It will make its début in animated GIF form via CRfashionbook.com with the purple fabric blowing in the breeze. Over the past several months Carine has slowly but surely been building up anticipation for her new magazine post Vogue Paris. Last month she revealed a sneak peek of CR Fashion Book on her website.
Expected to be almost 300 pages long, CR Fashion Book will be a bi-annual publication and will sell for $9.95 per issue. It will launch on September 13, with Roitfeld reportedly planning a big party during New York Fashion Week. In addition to this, the magazine has also spawned a documentary. Titled Mademoiselle C., Roitfeld has given director Fabien Constant "unprecedented access" to her life over the past few months, following the magazine from the early stages to its launch date.
