Ewan McGregor pitched himself for Belstaff's first ad campaign
My hat goes off to Ewan McGregor for his boldness. For Belstaff's first ad campaign, the company didn't have to look far for a good looking celebrity ambassador. Oh no. Instead they had one right under their noses. It seems the Scottish actor fancied himself as the perfect to person to represent the Belstaff, persuading them to consider him for any future involvement in their recent relaunch.
"Ewan McGregor contacted me just after we bought Belstaff with an email titled "Born To Ride". With his love of the brand and his inherent rugged good looks he was a natural to be our lead male for the campaign," said CEO Harry Slatkin.
McGregor stars in the campaign alongside models including Karmen Pedaru, Maud Welzen and Ymre Stiekema. Photographed by Craig McDean on location at Goodwood, home of the Dukes of Richmond & Lennox. Stunningly captured inside the 300 year-old mansion in Sussex, Ewan and his leading ladies look fantastic against a backdrop of paintings by Van Dyck, Canaletto, Stubbs and Reynolds.
So there you have it - proof that being bold and ballsy really does pay off sometimes.
