chanel boutique covent garden.jpgFirst Karl Lagerfeld announces he is launching a pop-up space in Selfridges, now Chanel is set to launch a pop-up shop in Covent Garden. The French brand will open their first dedicated fragrance and beauty store just before the start of the Olympics on July 24.

Chanel's new pop-up shop will be housed in the Market Building in Covent Garden's iconic Piazza. It will stock the luxury brand's full fragrance and beauty collections and feature makeover stations as well as a manicure salon on the lower level. Customers will be treated to a Chanel treasure hunt; beauty workshops; and consultations with leading Chanel make-up experts.

There will be more exciting events to be announced in the upcoming months. However at this stage it is not known how long the Chanel pop-up shop will be open for. "Introducing premium beauty brands into the Market Building has always been a part of our retail strategy for Covent Garden. To open this fragrance and beauty concept store is a great coup for the estate and further proof point of how the area has changed," said Beverley Churchill, Covent Garden London brand director.

Meanwhile Lagerfeld will unveil his own pop-up space at Selfridges just three days prior to the start of the Olympics. The concept space will be located on the third floor of the department store. Read more about this pop-up shop here.

I wonder what the lovely ladies over at Kiss and Makeup would say about this news.
