Ashley Greene rocks denim for Nylon magazine
Twilight star Ashley Greene has embraced her pretty all-American sweetheart look for Augusts 'denim issue' of Nylon magazine.
25-year-old Ashley (who plays Alice Cullen, vampire and sister to heart throb Edward Cullen, aka Robert Pattinson), fronts the cover of the American magazine and poses in a number of denim-based outfits alongside her interview. The pretty actress wears a mixture of designer and high street pieces throughout the editorial, from vintage Moschino and Ralph Lauren to True Religion and Topshop.
With her cheekbones, big doe eyes and that slender frame, Ashley looks as though she'd be right at home amongst the model set, but the actress confesses that she knew she was, "never going to be a supermodel". Ashley initially planned a career in modelling, but was told that she should focus on staring in commercials instead due to her lack of height. "I'm 5'5″ - it's not going to happen unless you're Kate Moss, which I'm not, and until you hit a certain level in the modelling world, it's really rough: you're never tall enough, you're never thin enough, there's always another girl. It just wasn't for me anymore."
Luckily for us, she fell in love with acting after taking classes, and it looks as though Ashley has had the last laugh when it comes to her modeling career - the star received the 'Style Icon' award at Hollywood Life's Young Hollywood Awards this year and is currently the face of DKNY. Speaking of her relationship with the fashion brand, Ashley said that the company had broadened her horizons - I wonder if we'll see more ad campaigns as the vampire franchise draws to a close?
