I knew it was only a matter of time before two fashionably wise brands put their heads together and came up with a super cool fashion led range in support of the Olympics. And, being honest, I can't think of two more appropriate than Adidas Originals, the well-known sportswear brand's more style-led spin off, and the aptly named New York based fashionable, Opening Ceremony.

The result of this unlikely collaboration is a good one, marrying the cool Opening Ceremony signature with the Adidas Originals athletic edge. Borrowing elements from swim and cycle sportswear twisted with a clearly nineties feel, the Adidas Originals X Opening Ceremony collection is undoubtedly the most fashion forward Olympic offering we've seen to date for this year's 2012 Olympics. A vast collection spanning two and one piece swimwear, crop tops, tube skirts, ponchos and peplums, the offering mainly sticks to a blue, white and red theme in an all over paisley print.

What do you make of the collection? Will you be investing in the new collaboration come the end of the month? Check it out in the gallery above and shop our favourite pieces below.
