A sneak preview of Karl Lagerfeld's Olympic Collection
Earlier this month we almost fell off the edge of our seats as we told you that Chanel god himself, Mr Karl Lagerfeld, announced he would be launching a pop-up shop right here in London - and right now it's so tantalisingly close we can almost taste it! Housed on the third floor of one of London's most iconic department stores (Selfridges), the eccentric designer will showcase both his KARL MAN + WOMAN lines as well as his self-titled premium line, KARL LAGERFELD PARIS MAN, which debuted on Net-A-Porter back in January.
Today, Vogue.com released a sneak preview of 3 items that will be available to purchase at the unique shop, and the results are varied to say the least. They've certainly sparked a debate in the office! Whilst the signature Karl collars manage to be both cute and Olympic in spirit (there's a gold, silver and bronze sequin colourway!) the white leather jacket and houndstooth skinny jeans splattered with gold paint are a bit too 80's for our tastes...
Despite dropping hints, Catwalk Queen unfortunately won't be in attendance at tonight's private cocktail party, but that won't stop us from celebrating the showcase in our own way, in fact we're already daydreaming about who might be on the champagne-tight, super top-secret, and unbelievably stylish guest list for Karl's personal unveiling of the Olympic themed collection this evening!
Karl's pop-up shop will open tomorrow, with items starting at a fairly modest £95 and climbing to £325. What do you think of the collection so far? Let us know in the comments below.
