Sequin leggings fall pretty squarely in that nebulous category of things that are fabulous and look chic and sexy on models and in fashion editorials, but could go so, so wrong in real life.

These Sass & Bide One by One sequin leggings, £195, are really great on many levels. They don't look cheap, the fabric is a fine knit and the sequins are tiny and luxe looking. They're not ridiculously overpriced, either. I'd definitely say they are a good value for the price. They pull on with a gold, elasticized waistband and are cut to be super form fitting with a low rise.

In the photo above the leggings are styled quite chicly with a Helmut Lang jacket, Kain top, Oscar de la Renta ring, Givenchy shoes and Mulberry bag. I feel like Net-a-Porter styled them with a blazer to give the impression that these would be appropriate for daytime and the office. I'm not so sure about that. I think they'd look awesome with a black sweater and flats for a super-fun yet comfy outfit to go out dancing.

But do you think these are really meant for regular folk? Will they only look great on a size 2? Tell us what you think below!
