Steven Meisel has shot "a virtual labyrinth of fantasy" for the Prada Fall 2012 ad campaign. Models Elza Luijendijk, Vanessa Axente, Iselin Steiro, and Madison Headrick wear the bold geometric patterns from the collection on futuristic furniture inspired by the same patterns. The models match the clothing and scenery with red dip-dyed, super straight hair.

Prada described it thusly:

"Models are arranged in careful poses in the futuristic enclosure, the precise angle of an arm and an elegant neck echoing the geometry of the scene. Shifting camera angles and an endless depth of field create a playful illusion of perspective and proportion, recalling the setting for a videogame."

The videogame element is a bit reminiscent of the Arena Homme+ editorial featuring Final Fantasy characters in all Prada. Perhaps even if not involved, as they say they weren't, Prada was a bit inspired by the editorial.

Fashionista wonders if there will be interesting videos to accompany this campaign, and I can't wait to see either.
