Take a sneaky peek at Carine Roitfeld's new magazine
The excitement over Carine Roitfeld's new magazine, CR Book, is building thanks to a video sneak peek which has been released online. It is the first time that we have had a proper look at the new rag which the former French Vogue editor-in-chief plans to launch in September.
With the recent negative talk of Condé Nast reportedly banning its staff from working on the project, this little sneak peek at CR Book couldn't have come at a better time for Carine. The video gives us a behind-the-scenes look at a photo shoot for an editorial slated to appear in Issue O. Photographed by Sebastian Faena, the shoot shows us lots of models sporting various wigs, looking at their reflections in mirrors, and being all chic, edgy and fabulous. The perfect Carine combination!
Expected to be almost 300 pages long, CR Book will be a bi-annual publication and will sell for $9.95 per issue. Similar to that of French Vogue, it will also be published in English. Last month, I blogged about the news that Carine's new magazine has spawned a documentary. Titled Mademoiselle C., it is believed Roitfeld has given director Fabien Constant "unprecedented access" to her life over the past few months, following the magazine from the early stages to when it launches.
