Maje throws a party for their new ambassador Alexa Chung
To celebrate the new face of their brand, Maje threw a party for Alexa Chung in Paris last night. The French contemporary clothing company transformed the salons of the Ritz Paris into a miniature fair in honour of the British TV presenter. Entertaining party-goers was Lou Lesage, who was joined by her father Pierre Emery on electric guitar, to perform a mini set of French pop songs.
Posing for photographers with a dove on her shoulder, Alexa revealed it was the same dove which accompanied her in the photo shoot for the ad campaign. Chung was captured by Glen Luchford in the wee hours of the morning at the Porte des Lilas metro station in Paris. "It was really eerie down there, but it was really nice," she said.
Maje creative director Judith Milgrom spoke of why she chose Alexa for the autumn-winter 2012 campaign. "It's really love at first sight," she said. "She's a chameleon. She has a way of wearing designs that is very personal."
As for the possibility of Chung designing a capsule collection for Maje like its previous brand ambassador, Vanessa Traina, Milgrom added: "I hope so - really."
It has been a busy time for Alexa. Not only is she the new face of Maje, she also stars in the spring/summer campaign for Chinese retailer, Me&City. Check out her poolside ads for that campaign here.
