Kate Middleton chooses Whistles and Alexander McQueen for Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert
KATEWATCH continues with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joining the rest of the royal family at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert. The show-stopping event brought the country to a standstill, with more than 500,000 people spilling out onto the streets around Buckingham Palace in tribute to Her Majesty.
Moving on from her stunning red flotilla ensemble from earlier in the weekend, Kate Middleton went a little more demure to attend the Jubilee concert where she was surrounded by hordes of royals. It was the perfect opportunity for her to wear one of her favourite high street brands - Whistles. For this occasion she opted for the Whistles 'Bella' body-conscious printed dress, which was recently available via ASOS for £150 but is sadly now sold out. Kate does have a habit of selling out items of clothing.
Continuing her love of Alexander McQueen, the Duchess teamed her high street dress with a black shearling jacket from the British designer label. Don't you just admire her tendency to mix high street with high fashion? Genius! Unfortunately I couldn't get my mitts on a clear, full-length shot of her outfit. So this rather a grainy image from the television, courtesy of Grazia UK, will have to suffice.
Stay tuned for further coverage of what the celebrities wore to help celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in a star-studded concert last night. It was a massive one! What did you get up to in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee?
