Alexa Chung is the new face of Maje's Autumn 2012 campaign
Racking up yet another campaign under her belt is Alexa Chung, who has been revealed as the new face of Maje. The French contemporary brand recruited the British TV presenter to represent their Autumn 2012 advertising campaign. Photographed by Glen Luchford, the black-and-white images were captured in the early morning at the Porte des Lilas subway station in Paris. With tiny rays of sunshine blasting onto the lens, the campaign is meant to evoke a Sixties film heroine.
"Elegant yet edgy, her attitude reflects a personality that is both glamorous and rock 'n' roll," the company said in a statement.
To help celebrate the launch of the campaign, Maje is set to throw a party this evening at the Ritz Paris. No doubt we're sure to see Ms Chung arrive in something chic and adorable. Meanwhile, some of her most recent work has included campaigns for Superga, of which she also adopted the role of creative director for the Spring 2012 campaign, Pepe Jeans and Vero Moda. Chung has also launched her two of her own collections for Madewell. It is interesting how she tends to steer clear of the British high street brands? I am sure they have all been clamouring for years to sign her up.
Her latest campaign is due to break in September. Maje has previously collaborated with Vanessa Traina, who created a capsule collection for the label, she also starred in several ad campaigns for the brand.
