A Fabulously Fashionable Jubilee - The Queen, Kate & Camilla
The UK based members of Team Catwalk Queen are enjoying an amazing long weekend of celebrations at the moment as Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her Diamond Jubilee.
It's an unbelievable event to be part of; this is only the second time in the history of the British monarchy that a ruler has been on the throne for 60 years (the last was Queen Victoria). And as well as a lovely excuse to take a few days off and enjoy the festivities, it also offers fashion fans and royalists some of the best KATEWATCH opportunities ever.
It's no surprise that all the royals turned to their tried-and-tested favourite designers for their first Jubilee outfits. The Queen is in a metallic spot-embroidered Angela Kelly number and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall is in Anna Valentine and Phillip Treacy.
But we all know you mostly care about the artist formerly known as Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge is a big part of the first day's celebrations, joining members of the Royal Family on The Spirit of Chartwell as it follows the incredible flotilla of boats down the River Thames.
She looks striking in a patriotic red Alexander McQueen dress (it's a sleeved version of a former design from A/W 2011) with a beautiful red hat by Sylvia Fletcher from James Lock & Co. The closest available online is the 'Applause' style. She added her trademark beige court shoes, of course.
We'll update with better photos the moment we get them, but in the meantime we know how much CQ fans the world over love Kate's classic, beautiful and always appropriate style, and we wanted to show you what we've seen so far!
